The Story
The Villa Rosa range was created by Stephen Jones and Miguel Besoaín. They share a belief in producing quality wines for all wine-lovers, including those a long way from the vineyards.
Miguel owns the Lafken Winery where he makes the Medalla de Villa Rosa collection. For him, winemaking should take place in harmony with the environment. He promotes the sustainable management of resources and his wines are fully organic - no chemicals are used in the vineyards.
Stephen realised that many boutique wineries were struggling to reach customers abroad. At the same time he saw the growing demand in Asia for quality, affordable wine which was not being met.
He and Miguel developed the Villa Rosa range to showcase the best of Chilean wine and offer wine-lovers in Asia and further afield an authentic, enjoyable drop.

Miguel graduated from the University of Burgundy as an enologist and worked in vineyards in France and Germany for over ten years. He returned to his native Chile to produce his own wine, where he specialises in single vineyard, limited edition vintages.
Stephen spent many years working for one of Chile's largest wine exporters, during which time he was based in Latin America, Europe and Asia. He has a number of qualifications from renowned wine academies, including the WSET. He is often asked to provide his expertise as a wine judge, most recently at the China Wine and Spirits Awards.
